silk hair wrap 2.0

I'm going to be 100% honest, I love this turban, I truly do. It doesn't give me headaches like other bonets and it stays on through out all the night, leaving my curls soft and shiny.

My only concern is that in the area where it gets tied up, the stitches that join the cotton outside with the silky inside seem to be streaching out with use, pulling the silk and it gives me the vibe that it will rip at certain point.

Purchased Cinnamon turban & love it. Its double layer is the best feature, it feels immediately soft + comfortable, also allows less stress + movement on the hair when asleep. The silk inner layer is gorgeous + you feel it. Turban has shown a noticeable difference when I wake in the morning & now I don’t sleep without it even on Gold Coast balmy nights! I’m perimenopausal - if you know, you know 🙃. I’ve also tried others but they don’t stack up. Pic shows day 4 after hair appt (usual colour, wash, blow dry) sleeping w DG turban. 🙌 Amazing.

I ordered the black bucket hat as I knew it would go with any colour I wear and to make sure I'd like it.
It's awesome, so I'll now order it in burgundy.

I'm a huge believer in sun protection, even in Winter.

The turban is great. Easy to use and will hopefully help me tame and protect my unruly messy of silver and grey chaotic curls.

It's pretty enough that I'll also be wearing it out!!

Hair is damaged from 4 years of bad curly hair cuts so I’m on a mission to revive my hair. This wrap is definitely helping! I’ve had my eye on it for over a year and I’m so glad I bought. If you’re on the fence, definitely give it a go. The scrunchies are also a perfect match.

I’ve always worn my hair straight because sleeping would crush them and make it flat fizz. Now I get to live my best big hair life.

I was so excited to receive my turban and then so disappointed when I wore it to bed to have it slide off every night.

Is there any tips you can offer to somehow tighten it?? It’s a lot of money for an item that is unusable! I read in a review about tightening with ‘drawstrings’. Am I missing something?

I recently started using the Curly Girl Method and added Hair Oil Highness into my regime, turns out my loose curls are actually tight ringlets! I also love the turban to sleep in at night, j just shake my hair out in the morning, give it a spray and I'm good to go! Thanks so much

I’m a chemotherapy patient and this is my favourite head wrap now. It’s so comfortable and effortlessly stylish.

I was worried that the silk lining would make it too hot or the fabric would rustle too much, but it’s smooth and comfortable and not too hot at all. Really happy with my purchase.

My friend talked me into getting one of these and I was quite skeptical.
Especially since my hair is just a long curly mullet.

But sleeping with the hair thing instead of my hair tied up is 100x comfier!

I have been sleeping a lot better and my hair is a lot easier to work with in the morning now :)

Honestly can’t recommend these enough!

I ordered this as I have fine oily hair and have to wash it allot. I also have extensions in that xan get frizzy and matted at night. This turban has been wonderful for both. Can flatten my crown a little but less oil no knots, no friz and hair seems healthier already. I have ordered all my sisters one.

I haven't worn a scrunchie in years, but I'm 100% converted to these silk babies now! I have also been wearing the turban to bed and it's made a big difference to frizz reduction, just spritz a tiny bit of the hair oil in the morning and the curls are good to go! Wish I got the Medium size but it's very easy to make it fit.

I adore this turban! Fits like a glove & keeps my curls glossy & frizz free! Highly recommend this product & two of my friends have already purchased one because I raved about mine. I wear it to give my hair a break from being in a bun.

This is AMAZING! My daughter’s fine toddler hair was always frizzy and broken after a night’s sleep - now it is smooth and silky and finally appears to be growing! She loves her ‘bed hat’ and is trying to convince her dad to get one too!

After waking up to massive hair loss daily, I invested in a beautiful cinnamon turban. It instantly made me feel gorgeous because of the colour and buttery texture. My hair loss is less aggressive and I feeling much better. Plus my new hair growth is being protected!

I am neither a curly girl nor a long hair girl but I am a cpap user. This is the solution to lines, folds and flat areas in hair that make having to wash hair just to restyle each day. Stays in place all night with cpap and eye mask. Happy with the beautiful quality.

One of the peri-menopause symptoms I was not prepared for was my hair going from straight to curly. Suddenly I had to relearn all that hair stuff. Much scrolling later and I had learned that I needed to look at silk hair wraps for sleep. I tried several that were completely silk and they were not something I could get used to. Too large and they would not stay put all night as I moved around in my sleep. Then I stumbled across Damn Gina. And I now own not one but two (they do need washing occasionally lol). I love the choice of sizes and the cotton outer layer which does not slip and slide across my pillow. Such a comfortable design which I could not recommend more highly.

I had high hopes as a large part why silk wraps would not stay on overnight was their “slip” factor. This wrap is supposed to solve that problem by having silk inside, cotton outside. But this small size wrap (i wear a M in hats) is too big ti contain fine hair that is at a lob length. My hair ends up more fly away from the wrap slipping half off and tangling the hair to frizz. Even when you tie it real tight to situate it, it still slips off (& gives a tension headache in the process).

Excellent quality. I have an older one and just bought a new one. Can handle nightly use and washing without any frays or issues. Well made. Requires hair clips to stay on. The latest designs are slightly bigger which is better imo.

Could see the difference after the first night- hair silky and knot-free. Bonnet looks cute, easily adjustable and comfy to sleep in, even in very hot weather. If you have wavy/curly hair or issues with hair-fall, would 10/10 recommend.

I have used other silk sleep bonnets before, but this one is definitely the best.
I have incredibly long straight hair and I find that this one actually stays on all night whereas others I have tried slip off straight away.
The only issue I’ve had is that I probably ordered the wrong size because my head was just within L size range and I figured because I have long hair I would need the larger one.

I’ve lost count of the amount of bonnets/wraps in silk or satin I’ve purchased-always searching for one that will stay on my head while l sleep but also not be too tight as I suffer from migraines. This is the first one that has passed that test ! I think it’s because the outer layer is cotton so it’s not so slippery against your pillow but you still get the benefit of the silk against your hair with the inner layer. Will be buying again in future-thanks for a great product

I’ve tried several sleeve hair wraps including two other major brands available in Australia plus a bonnet style from the US. Damn Gina is the best of the bunch imo.

I originally ordered large as I was right on the cusp of sizes. I should have trusted the description and sized down but was hesitant because my Slip turbans are so tight they’re uncomfortable without alterations and I was worried I’d be in the same predicament if I went smaller here. I was wrong and have sized moved to the medium size and it’s perfect.

These wraps are super comfortable and well thought out, just be warned if you size up unnecessarily you won’t get the benefit of elastic for comfort.

The cotton does get a bit warmer than all silk or satin but not a huge deal. I really like how the cotton keeps my silk sleep mask in place and it doesn’t fall off like with all silk options. I do wish the label was on the outside as I’m using silk for a reason and don’t want a label up against my hair but that’s nothing some careful scissor work can’t fix.

All in all I highly recommend these over other (more expensive) brands, and would still do so even if they were priced the same.

I’d highly recommend that if you were a medium for the first edition of the head wrap to go for the large size of this 2.0 version. I had bought a medium of the 2.0 based on my first purchase, but it was sadly too small. I do love the product though so I will be buying a large!
