silk-lined bucket hat - wide brim

This is my 3rd bucket hat from DG, and they just keep getting better!
I love that the chin strap (I almost lost my og black & peach one to a particularly windy canoe trip), and the wider brim is great for sun protection (and looks super cute with the brim flipped up). My very fine/very curly/very bleached hair is so happy with the silk, its the only hat really wear anymore.
Get one, your hair will thank you.

I purchased this hat in Chocolate and Cherry and wore it on vacation—within days, I had a stream of compliments. I spent hours in the sun on a river trip, and this was hands-down the best hat in the group. The brim is firm (not floppy!), holds its shape beautifully, and provides excellent sun protection for my face.

I loved it so much I ordered a second one in Cinnamon and can’t wait for it to arrive.

I also wore it on an ocean boat ride where it got wet and picked up some salt residue. I hand-washed it in cold water, and it dried looking good as new. Great quality and stylish—highly recommend!

I'm a very pale person who needs a lot of sun protection, with the biggest head size out there. These bucket hats are perfect. I have worn them in all conditions in Aus and travelled with one through Europe. I especially loved wearing mine on the long hauls with the awful overhead lighting - truly helped knock off some of the nausea of jet lag.

The headline is they're really freaking cute. I get compliments all the time. My husband keeps stealing my cinnamon one.

The hat is just amazing, the hair is silky and protected, the quality is amazing, the ht keeps the form very nice!

Liked the option of the wider brim on the hat… as it works well with my size head, always good quality… I really love the addition of the neck strap, good for strong beach winds.

I'm out on the road a lot for work, and needed a hat that would protect my curls and keep me safe in the harsh country NSW sun - this hat has delivered in spades! It's faded a lot since I first bought it, thanks to weeks of road trips, UV 13 farm visits and rain, hail and shine without any rips or tears. Stoked to be sunsafe and look stylish (emphasis on the ish) while doing it.

My Damn Gina hat is the best! I’ve got a large head and lots of curly hair, and this is without doubt the best and most comfortable hat I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Am loving my new lavender silk lined bucket hat from damn gina. The silk lining means my head/hair is kept cool under the aussie sun 🌞 and I love the silk drawstring to tailor to my head size.

I wore the black version I bought while doing the Tasmania Overland Track in February 2026. The hat is brilliant, great on curly hair, light weight and full coverage, classic and stylish (improves the look of hiking gear) and the attachment means easy on / off to be stored behind / between your head and pack. I went for a large and could have gotten away with a standard, but appreciate the room. Fellow hikers complimented it (again, nice to improve the look of hiking wear!)

I got the brown with polka dots. The hat is unique and beautiful, with the style and silk lining. It looks stylish while being sun smart. It feels really nice too I have a small head but it doesn’t look too big on me as some hats tend to and love the drawstring! Every detail is thought out. Obsessed

This is the only hat I’ve ever seen that has taken curly hair and its tendency to be crushed seriously-what a fantastic idea to take the concept of the benefits of silk and line a hat in them
Only thing extra I’d like to see is wire in the brim so that it can be styled but overall it’s brilliant

I brought the marshmallow and black hat. My hair is thinning and breaks easily, I have not noticed ant breakage and my scalp is improving also. Great coverage when outdoors and easy to pop into the bag when in the shops. Highly recommend..

I've been thinking for awhile on purchasing this hat as I didn't think I suited bucket hats but I was so wrong. This hat is perfect for me! For any ladies experiencing hair loss, I strongly recommend this product. It has honestly been one of my best purchases. The silk lining is so soft, cooling and soothing - I actually look forward to putting it on. There are also no stitch lines to irritate the crown of your head - just bliss. Great for gardening and the beach. Also the brim is so wide, I have complete confidence that my face, neck and shoulders are protected - which I’m sure would be appreciated for any other photosensitive ladies out there ❤️
