Hair Oil Highness (Styling Oil)

Rightly named Hair Oil Highness, this oil is the best I have ever tried - and believe me I have tried them all. The scent is light and divine, it spreads easily in my hands to run through my #fluffballtumbleweed hair, and stays lightweight while controlling my frizz. I add it to freshly styled hair, then add more each day until I wash. It’s the holy grail

Not too heavy or greasy. Adds shine and is moisturizing.

I’ll be sad when this one leaves. I’ve only just found this product. And it’s the best thing I’ve ever used on my extremely dry hair. Nothing has ever worked so well at keeping my hair so soft, not dry at all! Thank you for such amazing hair products. Love!

I have been using this for a year and just purchased my second bottle. Not heavy, can be used dry or wet hair. I use it almost every day.

Look I love glass for its sustainability, and I love the serum itself - absolute treat, works great, I’ve had compliments on the smell, and you get a pretty great amount. I’d happily give it five stars, but I barely got a handful of uses out of mine before I bumped it and smashed it on my bathroom floor. Had a cry over the loss, but I don’t think I can stomach spending the money given I could easily do it again. Yeah it’s my mistake, but if you’re like me, bear the risks in mind and plan ahead. I gotta go clean up the glass and oil now and it will not be fun.

EDIT okay, I caved. I’m keeping it in my bedroom now, at least until I get the aluminium bottle I bought, which are really surprisingly cheap (they just take forever to ship). There are also Australian wholesalers that sell aluminium bottles with your choice of spray nozzle, intended for perfume makers, for even less - would have gone with them but they seem more like a buy-in-bulk store. DamnGina, if you guys stocked an aluminium bottle as like a $5 upgrade for the hair serum, with the intent that you buy it once and then refill it from the glass bottles, I’d be all over that. You can make a joke that it’s certified Willow-proof.

This is the best hair oil product I’ve ever used. It is light weight, leaves my hair silky smooth and you don’t need to use much so it’s cost effective. This is a bulk purchase item for me because I never want to run out. I’ve gone from using multiple curl control products to this alone. Spread the word, this magic in a bottle is a winner!!!

Really happy with this hair oil. I love how it sprays on easily with the bottle and the smell is lush without being overpowering. Keeps my wild dry frizzy waves looking smooth and shiny and keeps the moisture in my hair between washes. I have super long thick hair so I definitely needed to use more than directions said but it's absolutely worth it, it's my new favourite hair oil. Will buy again for sure!

Nice and light but effective as well, I was pleasantly surprised. Other products have been too heavy. I've got grey curly hair, prone to the frizzies.

Very nice light oil which is great for scrunching out my gel cast. Just a light spray in my hands helps to stop any frizz. Also smells lovely

I don't know if my bottle is rancid because everyone else says theirs smells great, but this stuff stinks so bad it almost makes me gag. It also makes my hair frizzier if you can believe it. I can't believe I spent 50 bucks on this

I really love the hair oil I got from Damn Gina. It's light, gives my hair a beautiful glossy look and smells amazinggggg.

Even if I just spray a small amount into my hands and work it into my long hair, it still ends up looking greasy. I do have dark blonde hair, so maybe it's more obvious? It smells very fruity which is nice, but can also be a bit strong on a migraine day. I might just stick to putting it on the night before I wash my hair to give it some love, but I'm yet to figure out how to use it in the day.

I have fine hair which is prone to frizz. This hair oil is so lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. I apply the tiniest amount, one to two sprays on the palms of my hands, to the mid lengths and ends of my hair after washing, then apply the residue to the top. It leaves my hair soft, manageable and frizz free. As you only need a small amount, I can see the bottle lasting for ages. I am so happy with this amazing product! Thank you Gina xx

I was super excited when I saw Damn Gina bring out their own oil, and next level excited when I read it contains protein. I have medium thickness, medium density, low porosity 2c-3a waves/curls and this oil completely exceeds my expectations. I use to seal my hair and remove the crunch at the end of wash day, but I also use it throughout the week to tame frizz and to refresh my curls. It's lightweight enough that I can use it daily. The smell is delicious. But the real game changer, for me, is the protein. It helps my curls maintain their shape post-wash day without weighing them down. I also use this occasionally on both of my children and it seems to be working well for both of them, too.
Magic, honestly. Completely worth the price, and a solid competitor for a new oil by a big brand that recently hit the market. I can't say enough good things about it!

Having thick hair, you would think its thirsty AF but actually putting product and oils in it REALLY weighs it down. Not this little beauty though! Officially my new HG of hair oil. It smells divine, it makes my hair feel so soft and look so healthy (literally have been getting comments on how shiny my hair is) AND the ingredients are top notch. I am one of those googlers that look up all the ingredients in something before I buy it and Hair Oil Highness is chock FULL of goodness, particularly for curly hair. I love it! I have short hair at the moment so I only use a little on damp hair and it makes such a difference. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this exceeds my expectations

I always wake up with extremely oily hair, and I felt like I needed to wash it every day. I've been using hair oil highness and so far my hair has felt thicker and kept that nice after wash fluffy feeling for 3 days before needing to be washed.

Does not smell like frangipani and coconut. This is a terrible hair oil for the price, it has a watery consistency and does not smell pleasant. I have had much better results with my hair using cheaper oils.

I have no idea if this product is considered "curly girl method" friendly because I'm a big believer of finding products that work for you. Boy George does this product work for me! I have super thick curly hair and this is a great product to reduce frizz and give my hair a subtle shine without looking oily. Also works great to scrunch out the crunch

The perfect balance of oils to give my hair some shine but not make it look all scraggly and separated like other oils (I have fine but thick hair with 2b curls). I also feel like its getting stronger with the protein but it's too early to confirm. This is the hair oil of my dreams 😍

I really love this hair oil. I have thick, wavy hair with a fine texture - highness is amazing as it’s not too heavy and isn’t greasy - it absorbs into the hair instead of sitting on top of it and makes my hair soft and easy to manage. I love to use it after I’ve washed it but I’ve also tried it in between washes to tame frizz which does the trick. It’s also not heavily fragranced if that’s a concern! Definitely recommend.

My four year old has the most gorgeous curls that cascade down her back. These look amazing just after conditioning. However, I have used many oils to highlight these curls. Mostly found them to be too heavy or oily for her hair. This can leave the curl to look greasy. The Highness oil is completely different. It is light effective and defines the curl beautifully. It does not appear to build up meaning my daughters hair still looks clean after a day of tree climbing or rock pooling. I am so happy to have found this product.
